The third set of RMB was issued by the people's Bank of China in April 20, 1962, and officially withdrew from circulation in July 1, 2000 and circulated for 38 years. In the past 38 years, third sets of renminbi have recorded the four major periods of the founding of new China, namely, the new China after the three years of natural disasters, the ten years of the cultural revolution, the gradual rise of China's economic recovery and the rapid development of China. The third set of RMB is the longest circulation RMB since the founding of new China. With the changes of daily life of Chinese people in clothing, food, housing, transportation and use, it has recorded the memory of the Chinese people who could not get rid of the 38 years.
The fourth set of RMB is a set of currency issued by the people's Bank of China in April 27, 1987 to April 1, 1997 in order to meet the needs of economic development, further improve China's monetary system, facilitate circulation and transaction accounting. The fourth set of RMB has been circulating in the market for more than 30 years. On April 30, 2019, this set of RMB completely withdrew from circulation. The fourth set of RMB lasted the longest time from planning, design to approval. It took 18 years. This set of RMB was born in the horn of reform and opening-up. It marked the new development of anti-counterfeiting performance of banknote technology level in China, and also strongly supported the development of national economy and the deepening of reform and opening-up at that time.
These two sets of RMB are respectively the third set of RMB and the fourth set of RMB. The third set of RMB inherits and develops the technical tradition and style of the second set of RMB. Ink color matching is reasonable, the color is novel and bright, the paper size is small, the design is beautiful and generous. The fourth set of RMB has two characteristics, one is the longest design time, reaching 18 years; the other is the first issue of 100 yuan and 50 yuan of coupons. There are also fonts. The fourth sets of Renminbi retain the words "the people's Bank of China" written by Mr. Ma Wenyu, a researcher of the people's Bank of China. These words combine the Han Li and Wei tablets with deep foundation and rich traditional flavor. It is very valuable for collection and inheritance.
The front and back of each edition of RMB have specially designed patterns, which represent the basic national conditions and people's living standards of those times. Looking at those renminbi, we can recall what happened to our country and people in those years. With the printing of the second edition, the third edition and the fourth edition of the renminbi, we can clearly see the progress of our country in technical efforts, as well as the cultivation of talents. Therefore, the value of RMB collection must be very high, and its historical significance is irreplaceable for other things. Many people in the RMB collection market believe that RMB not only has historical significance, but also has the function of inheriting Chinese culture, because many design concepts are integrated into Chinese traditional culture.
